Moscow Mule

My mom gave Andrew these gorgeous Moscow mule mugs for Christmas and this adorable and informational bar book. I am already in love with these mugs. They keep your drink ice cold (if you look closely you can see the frost on the photo above). I think this will be my go to glass for any and every ice cold cocktail (or soda for that matter). And of course we had to make a Moscow Mule.

Moscow Mule (serves 1; from The Essential Bar Book)
what you need:
2 ounces vodka
3/4 ounce lime juice (we used lemons from our tree)
4 ounces ginger beer
lime wheel for garnish (lemon in our case)

what to do:
Add vodka and lime juice into a Collins/highball/copper mule mug. Top with crushed ice. Top with ginger beer. Stir and garnish with a lime wheel. Enjoy!

Links to Make the Weekend Come Back Sooner

It’s back to the real world for me. Back to work and interning. I’m not too thrilled so I’ve distracted myself with a few fun links (and a trip to the mall with my mom). Here are some fun links to distract you all too. Happy Monday!

1. I usually write thank you cards the day after I receive a gift, but I’m behind from Christmas. This cute stationary is just the motivation I need.

2. My favorite reason to go to a game–the food. America’s best NFL stadium eats.

3. The biggest food trends of 2015.

4. A video on how to use dry shampoo.

5. Budget winter beauty buys & DIYS for dry winter skin & lips.

6. I am a huge Disneyland fan, but these Disney treats are worth the trip for those who aren’t biggest fan.

I had a very relaxing two weeks off that I got to spend with my family.  It the such a nice time spent with friends and loved ones.  2014 was very good to me. It ended just the way it started with a kiss from my husband.  We started 2015 yesterday with plenty of relaxing, binge watching Luther, and a delicious steak dinner.  I plan on continuing relaxation theme this weekend with a couples massage with Andrew, a family dinner, and a football brunch with friends.  Have a great weekend!
