Tulip Valentine’s Card

Tulip Valentine's Card The women in my life are so special to me and truly deserve to be celebrated on Valentine’s Day (and everyday!).  My mom’s absolute favorite flower is the tulip. I recently had a bouquet of tulips in my dining room and went to change out the water and all the petals fell off. I was so bummed, but knew I had to save them for something special for my mama.  This darling tulip heart card is simple, delicate and makes a big statement.

To dry the petals I placed the petals between two paper towels and let them sit under a pile of magazines untill they dried.  Once the petals were dried it only took a few minutes to put these cards together.  I used blank white cards and envelopes, Rubber Cement glue, and the dried tulip petals.  I glued one petal angled to the left and then glued the second angled to the right with the base of the petal overlapping in the middle to form a heart.  Let dry and share with someone you love.
