The women in my life are so special to me and truly deserve to be celebrated on Valentine’s Day (and everyday!). My mom’s absolute favorite flower is the tulip. I recently had a bouquet of tulips in my dining room and went to change out the water and all the petals fell off. I was so bummed, but knew I had to save them for something special for my mama. This darling tulip heart card is simple, delicate and makes a big statement.
To dry the petals I placed the petals between two paper towels and let them sit under a pile of magazines untill they dried. Once the petals were dried it only took a few minutes to put these cards together. I used blank white cards and envelopes, Rubber Cement glue, and the dried tulip petals. I glued one petal angled to the left and then glued the second angled to the right with the base of the petal overlapping in the middle to form a heart. Let dry and share with someone you love.
